Angus and Kitty take TWO as they take to The Bergy Seltzer stage on Wed 9 Feb! Presented by The Real Songwriters of Melbourne.
26-year-old singer/songwriter Angus Legg makes no bones about his stylistic aspirations. In his eyes, pop songwriting doesn’t need to feel repetitive or familiar. Angus believes that when made thoughtfully, pop music is capable of captivating the heart and mind and having a cathartic effect on both listener and performer.
Angus specialises in singer/songwriter based acoustic pop, and he's already worked with the likes of Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe), Gretta Ray, Cyrus Villanueva, Ji Fraser and Eli Paewai (SIX60), and Mark Lizotte (aka Diesel). His biggest influences are artists like Mitch James and Alec Benjamin, as well as Ed Sheeran. “I do like to tell a story and try to use a concept that hasn’t been used before,” says Angus. “And tell it in a way that myself and others can personally relate to.”
He wants to write songs that connect – the sort you can easily sing-along with, but that also carry an emotionally resonant core.
