RSOM March Networking Night with Listen Up Music

The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are excited to announce their collaboration with mental health music charity, Listen Up Music for the month of March.

Listen Up Music is an award-winning registered mental health music charity founded by Ali Taylor in 2018. Their mission is to empower music industry professionals to practice positive mental health change through their music-focused events and education services.

An Australia wide charity, Listen Up Music are also the hosts of the Songwriting Prize which has welcomed songwriters from all over Australia to share stories about their mental health journey through song and these have provided an incredible space of community and support for everybody involved.

“The time for mere awareness-raising of mental health issues is something that we believe we need to move past. We want to see real, life altering, change and we believe that music in this setting has the ability to make a big impact," - Ali Taylor, CEO of Listen Up Music.

This year, Listen Up Music is gearing up for Torch Fest with editions to be set up in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra.

The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are an official partner of Torch Fest, a mental health music festival by Listen Up Music which aims to shine light on mental health in the music industry.

This is your chance to meet Ali, to hear his story about his passion for advocating for mental health in the music industry and also how Listen Up Music can be an incredible resource and opportunity for musicians.

The night will of course begin with an opportunity for you to meet the RSOM Community as we give you the opportunity to network.

We are looking forward to seeing you and celebrate the month of March together!
