SEB SZABO REVEALS FIRST SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING DEBUT EP AND ANNOUNCES LAUNCH SHOW
We at The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are very excited to reveal the brand new single from Seb Szabo titled, 'Even If You Break My Heart.'
The song is the first of a collection of stories that will be featured on Seb's forthcoming debut EP, set for release later this year. The single is Seb's second release following his debut single, 'Tears We've Been Holding Back' in 2019. The time in between releases has seen Seb grow his artistry as his new music reflects his experiences of love, life and loss.
"This is perhaps my favourite song on my EP, it's the most influenced by Coldplay, the band I grew up idolising," Seb tells The Real Songwriters of Melbourne. "‘Even If You Break My Heart’ ties every theme on the record together. It’s a song about the place of strength, love and appreciation that you reach when you’ve fought through the pain and loss of heartbreak, and you’ve put enough space between the painful memories that you can see the fond ones more clearly."
Seb has been wowing crowds over Victoria as he played his first sold out headline show in March at The Retreat Hotel followed by a spectacular performance at the Aireys Inlet Music Festival. To add to the excitement, Seb has just announced a show at The Gasometer Hotel, Collingwood to celebrate the new single on Thursday May 20. The show will feature special guests Jade Alice and Bec Sykes.
"I wanted this song to capture the magic that I felt in our best moments together, and so I guess this is a song about finding little pieces of beauty hidden in your memory, once enough time passes for you to see them."
