PREMIERE: NEW SYNTH-POP DUO FANCY NORMAL RELEASE DEBUT EP, 'STARTERS & APPETIZERS'

Premiering today via The Real Songwriters of Melbourne is the debut EP from fresh synth-pop duo Fancy Normal titled 'Starters and Appetizers.'

Formed during Melbourne's famous lockdown, Fancy Normal (aka Noni and Jules) aim to bring sparkle to the airwaves with their fresh new sound. The EP begins with a fabulous introduction created by Jules as the opening track, 'Butterflies and SSRIs'prepare listeners for 16 minutes of good vibes and head nodding beats. Noni's powerhouse vocals are a huge standout which complement Jules' dreamy soundscape throughout the entire record.

Featuring singles 'Ultra Passion' and 'Sober Spaceman', (which has some sexy saxophones), the duo describe the record as, "a recollection of growing up," as the EP ultimately is a journey of self actualisation and acceptance of your present and past.

“The older you get and the more aware you are of yourself in the present, the more you understand why you made certain decisions in the past. The goal was to take some of that complicated mess that all of us generally walked through and share it through the most romantic musical era ever of 80s synth pop.” Fancy Normal tells The Real Songwriters of Melbourne.

The Real Songwriters of Melbourne welcome Fancy Normal to the RSOM Community and we look forward to seeing what this duo get up to next!

‘Starters & Appetizers’ is now available on all streaming platforms.
