MADAM NIGHTINGALE TO PREVIEW DEBUT SINGLE AT UPCOMING PRE-RELEASE SHOW
Post-genre act Madam Nightingale is getting ready to release their debut single, 'Feelings' with a special pre-release show on Saturday 13th February. Written about the passing of the lead singer's musical mentor, the lyrics are said to evoke the feelings of loneliness and spiritual loss.
Madam Nightingale is comprised of visual artist, lyricist and composer, Phaedra Gunn and musician, creative writer and soundscape arranger David O'Toole. Together, they will be sure to take you on a journey as Madam Nightingale describe themselves as not just a band but, "a holistic immersive art-experience."
A pivotal moment for the duo was their win at the Sounds of St Kilda competition at the St Kilda Festival last year. At what was one of their earliest performances, the win gave the duo the inclination to keep pursuing music in memory of their late mentor.
With a debut EP also on the horizon, expect to see big things from this fabulous duo as they plan to hit the road and perform around metro Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Check out Madam Nightingale at Fitzroy's, in.cube8r on Saturday night as they perform their winning set from St Kilda Fest with special guest Justin Dakin as support. Tickets to the show will include a copy of the debut single 'Feelings.'
