Romanie is the project of Belgian born, Melbourne based singer-songwriter Romanie Assez. With her honest and intimate songs, she brings you melancholic and sometimes personal topics written from her new home base. A dreamy, fragile sound paired with authentic songwriting and soothing vocals.

Knowing an already successful 2021 off the back of the release of indie-pop singles 'Fake Friends' and 'I'm Anything (But Myself Around You)' - that both got radio play across the country and got added to MTV rotation - Romanie is taking the Melbourne music scene by storm through captivating live performances with her newly found band members.

James Franklin’s beginnings in music weren’t incredibly original. Franklin grew up with a professional musician for a father, which meant that music was all around him, being absorbed by his mind every single day. In his early teenage years, he obsessively wrote songs to learn the craft. Franklin set out to write a song a day for a whole year, simply to gain experience.

With new songs and a new purpose, 15-year old James Franklin began his career playing music in homes, in clubs he shouldn’t have been allowed inside of, in large halls and festivals around Australia, working tirelessly to perfect his songs and performance.
Now, James Franklin has over 300 shows under his belt including performances with 5 Seconds Of Summer, Joan Osborne, Daryl Braithwaite, shows around Australia and the USA, two EP’s (Pumpkin Pie, The Laundry Room Mixtape), AND a full-length album (KID).
