COTTA is the brainchild of up-and-coming Australian singer-songwriter Cassidy Mackie. Compared to Maggie Rogers, Lizzy McAlpine, Carole King and Gretta Ray, COTTA presents powerful vocal delivery, expert musicianship and a hell of a wit. COTTA's latest release, Baby Steps, tells heartfelt stories of love, loss, faith and fatigue, and was released in March 2022. Having worked with prolific Melbourne-based producers Oldland and Max Slorach, Baby Steps was incredibly well received nationally, with the lead track Trying in particular garnering interest and accolade from Triple J. Finally, after a brief stint as a semi-finalist on The Voice Australia Season 11, COTTA decided it was high time that Australia got to know the human behind the voice, and is taking her music on tour.
