The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are SO excited to present our next Networking Night of 2022 on Tuesday September 13 and we invite you to join us!
Returning to our favourite casa, Fonda, the RSOM Networking Nights are a night of food, fun and conversation as you expand your contact list and get up close with the industry's leading experts.
Our next guest to feature on our Industry Panel is renowned Melbourne vocalist and singer/songwriter Kylie Auldist.
Known as the "High Priestess of SOUL," Kylie is the leading lady of Aussie funk/soul band, The Bamboos and is the voice behind the 2016 hit song 'This Girl' [Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners] which has received over 1 billion streams and a nomination for the 2016 ARIA Song of the Year.
Kylie's stellar solo career has seen her achieve global success as her 2009 and 2016 albums 'Made of Stone' and 'Family Tree' received international praise including from the BBC's Craig Charles, Gilles Peterson and Mark Lamarr. Her fourth studio album, 'This is What Happiness Looks Like' (2020) is the latest release from Auldist which combines nostalgic electro-disco-funk with her slick and powerful vocals, reminiscent of a 1980's New York nightclub.
Kylie Auldist will be joining RSOM Founder Jena Marino as she shares her story and how she rose to global success.
We are also really excited to introduce the teams from Noisehive Music Distribution and mental health music education organisation, Hey Mate who will be joining us on the night to introduce themselves to the RSOM Community and talk about their services. This is another great opportunity for you to learn about two fantastic resources available to emerging artists in Melbourne.
A private live stream will also be available to individuals who would prefer to tune in from home. Please note that the live stream will only include the Industry Panel and will commence at around 8:30pm.
