HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT AUSSIE MUSICIANS DURING AUSMUSIC T-SHIRT DAY
Ausmusic T-shirt Day is fast approaching on November 19th and it is anticipating to be bigger and better. After a tough year for everybody in the Australian music industry, this year sees the most amount of artists involved in the campaign than ever before.
This year Ausmusic T-Shirt day aims to raise awareness and funds by providing a diverse range of Australian artists’ merch. This year will be headlined by a non-binary drumming echidna, created by First Nations artist Bree “Little Butten” Buttenshaw.
Some of Australia’s biggest acts such as Spacey Jane, Powderfinger and The Wiggles will be selling t-shirts in order to provide funds for the many Australian artists who have been impacted by COVID-19. Of course, merch from our own community such as St. Emerald, Kitty Rae and Loose Bricks will be available to show support and promote the brilliant talent in Melbourne.
Plus, you can join many other songwriters in our Community by purchasing your very own RSOM T-Shirt. You can score free shipping by using code ‘FREESHIPPING’ at checkout to receive it just in time for the 19th Nov.
Buying a T-shirt isn’t the only way to support Australian artists during Ausmusic month, you can donate directly to SupportAct and even participate in fundraising with friends and family. SupportAct has raised over 22.8 million dollars over the past eighteen months to provide mental health programs, contribute to the wellbeing helpline and financial grants to artists across Australia. The crisis-relief grants have been essential in keeping the music industry going during lockdowns, especially in communities such as ours which makes this Ausmusic T-Shirt Day even more important.
Be sure to visit the AusMusic Tshirt Day official website to purchase t-shirts and donate. Love Police, Sound Merch, Threadshop, Merchfan, Artist First, Merch Jungle, Warner Music will also be selling merch and contributing through purchases on their websites. RSOM will have a t-shirt available on the new website as well so that we can show our support on November 19.
