The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are honoured to welcome two songstresses from the RSOM Community - Magdalia & Dragnfly Industri.

MAGDALIA

Magdalia is the alias of 22 year old singer-songwriter, Brodie O’Halloran who lives in Melbourne, Australia. She is also a vocal coach at her family-run business and is currently studying a Master of Creative Industries at Melbourne Polytechnic, researching how to bridge the gender gap in music education. Magdalia’s approach to songwriting comes from the heart. Her experiences with mental health struggles influence and shape many of her songs. She believes that there is a call for music addressing these issues on a much more in depth level. In 2021 Magdalia released her debut single ‘Shy to Shine’ which won the Campus Music Competition Public Vote. She followed this up by releasing ‘The House on Stanley’ which was a personal and heartfelt song about the loss of a loved one. Magdalia recently completed the Cardinia Shire Music Residency 2022 and is ready to release even more music this year. While her music often stems from extremely personal experiences, Magdalia’s songs are able to be listened to and enjoyed by all, providing comfort and support to listeners.

DRAGNFLY INDUSTRI

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Dragnfly Industri is set to break barriers in more ways than one in 2022. With whimsical melodies and quirky charm, the mature age artist exudes the philosophy that it’s never too late to explore your passions, find your legacy and live your purpose every day.

Weaving together creativity, thoughtful lyricism and eclectic, pop-infused instrumentals, Dragnfly Industri encapsulates her youthful spirit and takes you on a warm journey to a magical destination with each and every listen. Inspired by some of the music industry’s most charismatic artists, including Freddie Mercury and Dolly Parton, Dragnfly Industri is set to release her debut single in the first half of 2022, followed by collaborations with artists from across the country and live headline and supporting performances throughout the year.
